Hello from Columbus, Ohio!

I'm broadcasting from a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath serviced apartment in the suburb of Easton. Which is cleverly situated across from the main shopping area, Easton Town Centre :) How lucky am I? I'll be here for the next 7 weeks with occasional trips back to NYC for job shadowing and training.

So far my 1st week here has been pretty tiring - full days starting at 8:45am of speakers, activities & lectures. By the time 5:30pm rolls around, I'm mentally exhausted and ready to veg on the couch :P
My Columbus weekend highlights were as follows:

• Downtown Columbus during ComFest - 45mins to find parking and insanely hot weather led us to skip the festivities and head right to a bar instead
• Lightning & Thunderstorms that bellowed through the weekend leaving it muggy and hot

It was short and sweet and guess what, next weekend will be spent back in NYC! Yay!

Weekend rain

My weekend was relatively productive! Despite the boy being away for an all-male debauchery in Montreal - I took the time to hang out with friends, get pampered and pack my apartment for visitors & my impending 7 week absence.

It began with Friday: an awesome but strenuous workout, followed by a home-cooked meal in Jersey City. Thanks Enny!

Saturday: World Cup, Boys, Beer & BonChon (yes, at 2:30pm in the afternoon) Followed by an amazing foot massage in Chinatown and gallivanting with a girlfriend.

Sunday: An appointment to see an apt on terribly dreary day. Day made better by the boy hopping on an early flight back to NYC and not leaving his apt for the rest of the day :) Rainy days are best spent snuggling. Don't you agree?

Fashion inspiration?

I'm not sure if this sudden urge to do a fashion blog stems out of pure boredom or inspiration but I've recently been toying with the idea. I'm a regular reader of a very many fashion blogs and I have a particular affinity to Vancouver-based ones because our YVR fashion scene has so much potential! :)
So lately, I've been thinking about starting my own. I do realize it does seem a little narcissistic but I also think its kinda fun as I'm sure many of these fashion bloggers will attest. The real kicker for me was really my brother's girlfriend's blog, I was pretty darn impressed! So let me ponder a little more, and I'll keep you posted on my decision :p

I'm back but laptopless...

So I'm back from my gallivanting of Europe but am currently without my Macbook. It decided to die on me while in Rome and has been shipped off to Apple for repairs. So photos of Europe will have to wait till I get my little guy back...

In the meantime, I've plans to hijack my man's Macbook Air while he's in Montreal for a Bachelor weekend :) And then when he gets back, perhaps I can convince him to lend me his iPad :P Muahahahahaa!!!

Ready for Roma!

We leave for Europe tonight! :D First stop: ROMA! 

How excited am I? 

A family vacation is long overdue and I'm thrilled to head back to the city of Roman Holiday. What a chic movie that was! I love Audrey Hepburn movies. Will be blogging weekend updates from Europe! Stay tuned! xo

They're here!

My weekend went by too quickly! As do most weekends in my life. My Dad & brother arrived late on a Friday night after J & I gorged ourselves on $2 burger sliders and beer on St Mark's. He promptly passed out on my couch while watching a hockey game.

Saturday - was bright & early for a walk about town through and around, EV, LES, Soho, Nolita & Chinatown and a visit to J in his pimpin' pad in Midtown West - we ended the day with Robin Hood & Korean BBQ.

Sunday - was brunch at Anthony Bourdain's Les Halles, apartment viewing & an early dinner at Per Se that left all of us extremely full and in food coma for the rest of the night.

I hope your weekend was as full of food & walking as mine was!

Cavalia's in town next month

I saw their show schedule and just about died. Cavalia is coming to NJ next month and I have been waiting and waiting for this show to come to town! Months have gone by and they have been in Miami and Charlotte and now finally, they are in NJ! Close enough for me to venture!!! YAY!!! I just sent Jordan an email in ALL CAPS if we can go. I AM SO GOING!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
