PARTY TIME.
I've been waiting for an opportunity to sport my bumble bee dress from H&M. I usually don't look good in yellow, but this one seems to flatter my skin tone well. Sporting my new highlighted tresses, slap on a textured vest coat and OTK boots and I'm good to go! :) Off to DBGB we go to celebrate a belated birthday!

My Argentinian Dress Code
DRESS: H&M; BAG: VINTAGE LOUIS VUITTON; SUNGLASSES: PRADA
I've always been an easy traveller but I suppose "easy" is relatively subjective (J balked at the fact that I brought 4 pairs of shoes to this trip!). I tend to pick outfits that are easy to pack ie. no ironing required and easy to layer (in case of a change in temps). I also make it a point to bring at least 1 pair of flats, 1 pair of sneakers/walking shoes, 1 pair of heels and a pair of flipflops.
Depending on the weather, my must-haves for travelling include: Jeggings, a black cardi of sorts, shorts, a night-time dinner/date dress, white & black tshirts/tank tops, an all occasion purse, black leggings and accessories! But being in Buenos Aires during January gave me the opportunity to bust out of Summer favourites! My maxi dress, my silk romper, my lace skort and to make use of my mum's vintage LV shoulder purse! A perfect fit for my camera, guide book & wallet :)
TSHIRT: OLD NAVY; BLACK LACE SKORT: BAREFOOT CONTESSA (VANCOUVER BOUTIQUE); FLAT: PRUNE (BUENOS AIRES STORE)
SILK ROMPER: ARMANI EXCHANGE; SNEAKERS: CONVERSE;
NECKLACE: FOREVER21; RUFFLE DRESS: ZARA
WEDGE SANDALS: SAM EDELMAN

The holidays are almost here!
It's kinda crazy that we're already almost in December which means that Christmas is basically less than a month away. Which also means Christmas presents need to be bought and my bank account will be depleted. I suppose it also doesn't help that J & I are going on vacation in January too. But you only live once and as my Dad says: "Money is just a piece of paper if you don't use it". So here I am using it! I've tackled most of my Christmas list already, thanks to some early planning and that trip to Woodbury Commons helped.
Today, J & I took a stroll on the famous Fifth Ave to brainstorm ideas for gifts for our loved ones after a hefty but delicious brunch at db modern bistro. We needed the walk after a meal like that which included duck confit croque monsieurs & quiche lorraine. Mmmm...it was so gooood!
I hope you all had an awesome American Thanksgiving weekend because I sure did. I had to work in store on Black Friday (which was utter madness @ 7am mind you!) so I told myself I needed a weekend to do absolutely nothing and I made sure I did just that. Oh, with the exception of getting my hair done :) But that was just a few hours in the chair doing absolutely nothing so that counts! I also ate and ate and ate and ate so its back to the gym this week :)

Hallo-ween
MY SENORITA & I!
Halloween this year was totally last minute. I was originally going to go as Cookie Monster but due to the lack of solid plans, I kept putting off buying my costume online. Hence, the outfit you see above which simply consists of my cheongsam, big beehive hair & jade accessories. Total cost = $0! The same goes for J who slapped on a 3 piece suit (which he's never worn) and a fedora and Voila! Old Shanghai or you could say we were trying to do a Suzie Wong look or a Tai-Tai & her man/driver/bodyguard...Hahahaha! Sorry babe :)
Regardless the night was filled with candy, drinks & Korean supper. YUM!

Tdot - I like :)
Despite actually being sick while in Toronto, I had a brilliant time. It was one of those weekends which had the perfect mix of partying, chilling, sleeping & eating and it couldn't have been better. Except for the weather, it could have been warmer. I was NOT prepared for freezing nights whilst strolling Nuit Blanche. But it was a good time and we had a fabulous host, who let me sleep on an amazing memory foam mattress which probably helped me feel better to go party at night :)
SATIN PANTS: FOREVER21; DENIM SHIRT: AMERICAN EAGLE OUTFITTERS; KNIT BLAZER: CLUB MONACO; BAG: BALENCIAGA; FLATS: DOLCE VITA
Hope your weekend wasn't as cold but just as much fun as mine. I'm looking to spend more weekends in Toronto! Whee!
PS: How did it all of a sudden become October? :P

i almost forgot!
I had one last Ohio outfit post I completely forgot about. I wore this for my "graduation" day from my Training program. I've always loved the concept of mixing prints & patterns, particularly, florals. The key is to keep the prints within the same colour family or complementary colours.
BLOUSE: JCREW; BELT: HERMES; PENCIL SKIRT: FOREVER21; PUMPS: GEOX
I've been lagging behind on outfit posts but I assure you once get out of my lazy weekend phase, I'll be back on the wagon! :) PS: I need to do something about my hair, I've realised every photo I've got it tied in a bun (I blame Ohio's hot/humid weather) Needless to say, I've got an appointment for a trim & colour due this weekend :) Whee!!

Anchor an outfit with a blazer
Being in Columbus, Ohio for 7 weeks for training I've got a limited closet selection. A black blazer anchors anything down for work. Ohio is HOT in the summer, so I packed lots of light-weight, wrinkle-free patterned dresses but sometimes it isn't the most office appropriate. I threw on a blazer, rocked a floral pin and a pair of nude heels (another wardrobe staple) and Voilá! I'm ready for work!
BLAZER: ZARA, DRESS: FOREVER21, PUMPS: COLE HAAN
